Our story starts in 2007, when Georgian and Ossetian civil society activists and NGOs, with the support of Dutch peace organization IKV PAX Christi, decided to found a joint civic organization with the aim to promote peace activism in the region.
Today, the Civil Forum has a rich experience both in undertaking Georigan-South Ossetian confidence-building projects as well as engaging in civic education and youth development projects involving IDPs.
To develop dialogue between Georgian-Ossetian and Georgian-Abkhazian societies;

To support the development of civil society;
To support IDP youth integration with local society;
To protect, promote and advocate human rights.
